Autumnal Elegance

Vicky and Lalit’s September wedding was personal, stylish and effortlessly romantic.

Living in London, Vicky and Lalit were looking for a wedding venue that wasn’t too far away from their home. They fell in love with the location and style of Morden Hall.

Even though it is in London, its location in a National Trust park made Morden Hall feel like it was in the middle of the countryside.

Setting a late September wedding date, the happy couple chose a stylish colour scheme of navy and blush with elements of copper.

We didn’t want anything too summery and really liked the way the navy and blush worked together.

Looking the part

Vicky chose ‘Mirelle’ by Maggie Sottero, a stunning lace gown with an amazing train.

She completed the look with diamante sandals, Pandora earrings, a diamond Tiffany necklace and a bracelet from her in-laws. Her three bridesmaids wore navy dresses from Monsoon.

It was the second dress I tried on and I couldn’t stop smiling!

Wedding Day Details

Following their romantic ceremony, reception drinks were held on the lawn with delicious canapés and strawberry and mint Pimms.

Moving in to dine, the wedding breakfast commenced with a ham hock starter followed by roast rump of English lamb and, for pudding, Classic Eton Mess.

We chose the dessert because we live in Wimbledon. Eton Mess seemed like the perfect choice!

As day turned to evening, Vicky and Lalit decided to offer a pizza oven and an Indian food station, delighting all their guests. The newlyweds took to the dancefloor for their first dance to ‘The One’ by Kodaline, the perfect finale to a magical wedding celebration.

Vicky’s Favourite Moment:

“The wedding breakfast and seeing our friends and family having a wonderful time.”

Vicky’s Top Tip

“Don’t stress about the small things or anything that goes wrong on the day. People won’t notice the mistakes and will just love being with you on your special day.”
