Love in the Springtime

Marette and Paul were looking for their perfect wedding venue in Surrey, close to their home. They discovered Morden Hall and fell in love!

It’s such a beautiful venue but without being over the top. We just instantly felt at home there.

Design and Décor

Setting a wedding date in late-March, the happy couple wanted to create a warm, happy atmosphere where their guests felt welcome and relaxed. They chose a colour scheme of plum and berry with a hint of silver, adorning the staircase with flowers and carrying the colours through to the Mulberry Suite.

We made the wedding stationery ourselves, designed and printed the signs and sourced all the decorations.

Looking The Part

Marette chose a stunning gown from Berketex Brides while shopping with her mum.

I loved the Champagne colour. It was a princess dress but the skirt was so light, it was lovely to wear all day.

The beautiful bride completed the look with a Monica Vinader bracelet and earrings and a bracelet from Thomas Sabo that were a gift from Paul.

Paul chose a grey three-piece lounge suit from Peter Posh, accessorising with gifts from Marette – Monica Vinader cufflinks and a Hugo Boss watch. Finally, the bridesmaids looked stunning in long, plum-coloured Biba dresses while the flower girls wore pretty white dresses with plum coloured sashes.

Wedding Day Details

Following their romantic ceremony in the Willow Room, and welcome drinks in the garden, the newlyweds and their guests moved in to dine.

An exquisite wedding breakfast started with duck salad followed by roast rump of English lamb and a tantalising salted caramel cheesecake.

They were all our favourites! So many guests commented on how good the lamb was.

As day turned to evening, Marette and Paul danced their first dance to ‘You Got It’ by Roy Orbison and the dance floor filled.

We asked everyone to name a song that would get them up and dancing and passed that list on to the DJ in the evening.

Galloping Gourmet served wood-fired pizza, always a huge success for an evening party.
