InspirationWedding Favours for all Budgets
Given to your guests as a memento of your wedding day, the traditional favour consisted of sugared almonds, often prettily presented in a delicate box or organza bag.
These days, we’re a little more creative when it comes to these thoughtful gifts, offering our guests everything from iced biscuits to small posies of flowers or even jars of delicious jam. Let’s take a look at some fabulous favour ideas for your wedding at Morden Hall.
Delicious Treats
Edible treats remain a popular choice and something your guests can either enjoy after the wedding breakfast or take home with them.
Biscuits are always appreciated! Choose colours that co-ordinate with your day and consider them an element of your table décor.
Of course, we all love chocolate.
How about some mini jars of jam, chutney or olive oil?
Be sure to have all edible favours labelled with their allergen detail.
Why not express your gratitude to your guests by giving them a miniature drink? Our on-site catering experts offer a great selection from the signature range at the Chase Farm Distillery, from marmalade vodka to elderflower liqueur. Display them on the tables in the Mulberry Suite.
All About Nature
Flowers, shells and even seeds make lovely gifts. Always represent the season of your wedding, bringing the outside in.
We love seeds, an eco-friendly gift and something that will remind your guests of your wedding day (so long as they plant them!).
Plants or seedings are also a great idea, with succulents bang on trend and a contemporary choice for a city wedding. If you’re marrying in the summer, you might display these on tables in the garden.
Add colour and greenery to your tables with delicate flower favours or leaves.
We also love to see shells, stones and wood slices – they can be remarkably inexpensive and double up as place names.
Thoughtful Keepsakes
Of course, it’s also a lovey idea to give something that your guests can keep as a memento, from a handwritten poem to a bauble at Christmas-time.
Keyrings and Lottery tickets are fun ideas.
Candles are another lovely keepsake. Try to find a scent that will remind guests of your wedding flowers.
Don’t forget your younger guests. They will love activity bags or even small pots of Lego!
Consider your season – there’s nothing we love more than baubles and Christmas crackers in December and daffodils or chocolate eggs at Easter.
