Wedding trends for 2019
As we welcome 2019, it’s time to embrace some fabulous new wedding trends. From the hottest colours to fashion-forward attire and stylish décor… prepare to be inspired!
‘Living Coral’ is the Pantone colour of 2019 – a bright, sunny hue that sits somewhere in between orange and pink. We can’t wait to see it incorporated into weddings, with coral-coloured flowers, statement wedding cakes and dreamy bridesmaid gowns.
At One with Nature
This year, we’re bringing the outside in with lush greenery, seasonal flowers and romantic styles. You might even see a tree or two as a more natural alternative to a traditional table arrangement.
Inspired by the pure elegance of Meghan Markle, 2019 sees a return to immaculately tailored wedding dresses, keeping styles simple yet perfectly suited to flatter your figure. Meanwhile, on-trend grooms are dressing to impress in impeccably-fitted three-piece suits. Casual attire and wedding trainers are no more!
Adding to your Florals
Alongside flowers, we’re embracing a few alternatives, from natural-looking grasses to magnificent balloon displays and light-installations. Be bold and bright, making the most of Morden Hall’s elegant fireplaces and staircase.
Personalisation remains as popular as ever and we’re seeing beautiful artwork featured on wedding stationery. You might tell the story of your relationship through artwork on your invitations or feature a beautiful map of Morden Hall and the surrounding park. Be inspired by the illustrations of Polly Crossman.
Colour, Colour Everywhere!
Yes indeed, we’re embracing all things bright and beautiful, from bespoke, intricately-designed cakes to glorious flowers. Cakes are making a magnificent statement in 2019 – the perfect blank canvas upon which you can impart your wedding style.
Adapting the Roles
While we’re keen to stick to many of the romantic wedding traditions, 2019 couples are adapting them to suit their weddings and personalities. If you’d like a ‘bridesman’ or a ‘groomsgirl’, so be it. Equally, you might decide to change the structure of your day a little, having speeches before dinner or cutting your wedding cake after the evening guests arrive. The choice is yours.
If you have yet to visit Morden Hall, we would be delighted to show you around and discuss your wedding plans. Simply give our friendly team a call on 020 8102 0553 or contact us online.
