Your Wedding Ceremony at Morden Hall
With lavish spaces, original features, grand staircases and magnificent fireplaces, Morden Hall has much to offer when it comes to your wedding ceremony. Prepare to be delighted by wedding ideas and design inspiration for our different ceremony rooms.
The Willow Suite
Situated at the very heart of Morden Hall, the Willow Suite seats up to 120 for your ceremony and finds itself flooded with natural light. Its tranquil colour scheme embraces you, while large windows boast beautiful views across the lawn to the River Wandle.
Located on the ground floor of the house, the magnificent staircase offers a grand entrance for ceremonies here. Unsurprisingly, many couples choose to adorn the staircase with floral garlands that trail romantically down the banister. It makes the most stunning introduction to your aisle as well as being a great spot for photographs.
The imposing fireplace is another perfect place for floral arrangements, and you might choose to line your aisle with pretty lanterns and petals.
Meanwhile, you may wish to consider a different layout in the Willow Suite, with you and your guests facing out to the gardens.
The Hawthorn Suite
For slightly smaller, more intimate ceremonies, the first floor Hawthorn Suite awaits, seating up to 70 guests. Once again, you’ll discover immaculate, romantic décor and you’ll find a room that offers numerous options for seating, whether you decide to place chairs in a pretty arch facing the windows, or in straight rows.
When it comes to décor, consider creating a stunning ceremony space with tall floral arrangements either side of the registrar’s table. And, there’s nothing we love more than to see aisles lined with petals and lanterns, echoing the beauty of the great outdoors.
The Mulberry Suite
While predominantly used for dining, the impressive Mulberry Suite is also the perfect setting for ceremonies with larger guest numbers. With its sash windows and sculptural silver lighting, it is effortlessly stylish, and the delicate, neutral colour scheme is just the thing for your chosen colour palette.
With such a grand space, you might consider a lavish floral arch, a dreamy backdrop for your ‘I do’ moment.
While we aren’t licensed for civil ceremonies outside, our beautiful gardens make the most idyllic setting for a blessing. Embracing all that mother nature has to offer, seat your guests on the lawn and dress the scene with a white runner, fresh flowers, petals and chair decorations. With the lush green of the trees as your backdrop, and a blue sky overhead, it couldn’t be more romantic!
